Choice of compulsory elective subjects

In the Edison Information System – PSP (Personal Study Plan) – Subject selection

  • The choice is made for both the winter and summer
  • It is necessary to choose 5 subjects + 1 language after consultation with the supervisor.
  • Students who are not graduates of the Faculty of Safety Engineering must choose the differential course "Fire Safety.".
  • "Methods of scientific work" is a compulsory subject for all students.
  • For subjects, the student chooses the academic year and semester in which the subject is to be taken and also selects the teacher (in the case of the English language course, the student chooses Mgr. Radka Juříčková, PhD).
  • At the same time, it is necessary to specify the expected academic year of the state doctoral examination (SDE) and the expected academic year of submission of the dissertation thesis.
  • After the students select the subjects they want to take during their studies, they save the selection and submit it to the supervisor for approval (the "Submit to Supervisor" button confirms their selection).
  • ATTENTION - once the PSP has been submitted to the supervisor, the student cannot change the PSP unless it is returned to him/her by the supervisor.
  • In the dissertation seminar activity section, they see the credits to be earned for dissertation seminar activities (e.g. teaching, publishing articles, participating in projects, etc.).
