Acronym: EPD-Net Výzva: ERASMUS-EDU-2024-PI-ALL-INNO-EDU-ENT (Alliances for Education and Enterprises) Disasters, whether natural or man-made, have become more frequent and severe in recent years, affecting millions of people and causing significant damage to infrastructure, ecosystems and human settlements. Disaster recovery is a complex and challenging task that requires a multidisciplinary approach and the involvement of various stakeholders. In this context, planners and designers play a crucial role in the disaster recovery process as they have the expertise and skills to design and plan resilient and sustainable landscapes that can withstand and recover from disasters. The proposed project, aims to develop training modules on the role of planners and designers in disaster recovery for NGOs, universities, public and private sector organisations. The project will focus on the development of innovative and multidisciplinary approaches to disaster recovery, with particular emphasis on the role of planners and designers.
